The Panasonic TOUGHBOOK 40 is the ultimate 14" fully rugged notebook designed for Defence and ideal for Police Manufacturing and Utilities. It has a modular design that allows mobile workers to modify the device quickly and easily for different challenges by equipping 7 expansion areas. The powerful new all black model is built for use in the most extreme conditions (IP66, 180cm drop tested and MIL-STD], designed for military-grade quick release self-encrypting secure drives and up to 36-hour battery life to support mission critical operations.

As well as a user replaceable battery, RAM and SSD, the TOUGHBOOK 40 notebook has four other expansion areas e.g. for smart card and fingerprint readers, including a multi-user authentication for when the notebook is being used by a team.
Designed for discretion
On the road or in the field, the TOUGHBOOK 40 notebook is geared up for vehicle diagnostics and maintenance as well as defence training. It also has a new all-black exterior, and a one touch Concealed Mode function, making it the perfect partner for operations that require some stealth.

Engineered from the ground up to be used on-the-go and in harsh environments, this device is tested to military standard (MILSTD810H) and is the first TOUGHBOOK notebook that contains a complete IP66 rating. It’s also built to withstand drops of up to 180cm as well as knocks, vibrations and extreme temperatures for ultimate reliability in any environment.
Get optimised connectivity thanks to 4G LTE with the option of 5G - both offering eSIM support. And with a quad path-through antenna connector, and up to 36-hours of battery life (thanks to optional battery hot-swap), your team will always be able communicate, access critical info and report in real time when on the move.

It’s not only built tougher. It’s built smarter, faster and more agile. The Windows 11 Secured-Core PC is equipped with an Intel Core i5 or i7 vPro processor and up to 64GB RAM.
The Full HD touchscreen is designed for keeping operations quick and seamless with high brightness for perfect clarity at night and in the brightest sunlight. What’s more, it auto-detects between pen, finger, gloved or wet hand and automatically switches to the most appropriate mode.
Enterprise security – straight out of the box
Microsoft Secured-core PC technology provides device, identity and data protection at all levels - hardware, firmware and software. For higher level security, the notebook is also compatible with a Windows Hello-capable webcam for biometric user authentication, quick release SSD, and smartcard and HF-RFID reader.
